Any ideas?Consoles e Jogos Brasil www.consolesejogosbrasil.blogspot.com
Post a comment below...I have a Sony crt hdtv from 2004, with one dvi input and two component inputs. I do not have it hooked up to a stereo receiver, all audio goes through the tv.
Currently I have two devices demanding the components (game consoles), and my dish receiver taking the dvi, using an hdmi to dvi cord and a left/right audio cable.
Enter a new device, the ps3. The ps3 can be attached via component or hdmi, but as you can see I've run out of space. I would love suggestions as to the best way of getting all my devices to work together.
What are your thoughts on the subject?Chances are that if you have a PS3, you saved up a great deal of money to obtain it. In order to get the most out of your system, its a good idea to know what games are exclusive to it, and take advantage of that knowledge. If you decided on getting a PS3, why only play games you could play on the Xbox 360 anyway? Having said that, here is a list of the top 5 platform exclusive PS3 games:
5#: WarHawk
Warhawk is a multiplayer-only game developed by Sony themselves. The team-based online gameplay is, if you step back and look at it, much like an all-out war for up to 32 players. And whether you are infantry, a tank driver, or pilot of a “Warhawk” combat airplane itself, the gameplay is outstanding.
The objective, as like in other similar games(like Battlefield and Battlefront), is to continue capturing spawn points so troops can respawn closer and closer to the enemy’s base. The mechanics may seem complicated at first, but the gameplay itself is in essence very straightforward, so it does not take long for the new player to figure out what he’s suppose to be doing and get into the game.
#4: Resistance: Fall of Man
Resistance is one of the more wellknown of the PS3 exclusive franchises. Resistance: Fall of Man is a first-person shooter developed by Insomniac, and it delivers on just about everything you’ve come to expect from the genre: a lengthy campaign with options for split-screen co-op, online multiplayer, and plenty of shooting action.
The story revolves around an alternate timeline, where WWII did not take place, in the stead of an extra-terrestrial assault by aggressive mutated creatures that take over a good part of the globe.
For fans of shooters, Resistance: Fall of Man is a must-have.
#3: Little Big Planet
Little Big Planet is an amazing creation. The game features around seven hours or so of a single-player mode, but the real action is in the level-editing system. Players can create their own levels with an ease never before seen in theese types of games. Never before have a community of gamers been able to create and share over the internet in the fashion this game does.
#2: Dead Space
Dead Space is a Resident Evil-esque over-the-shoulder third-person shooter. The game revolves around a outer-space mining engineer responding to a distress signal. The game’s style seems to borrow from many different franchises(Resident Evil, Metroid Prime, and the movie Alien comes to mind). But in any case, the game retains the sense of a deep and somehow original atmosphere.
The player eventually finds himself isolated on a dark space vessel filled with deadly alien lifeforms. The reason the combat is so intense is in part due to the creepy atmosphere, as well as the fact that the player cannot, unlike in Resident Evil 4, pause the game to switch between weapons, heal up, etc. If there’s an alien breathing down your neck and you need to heal before he gets to you, you’re going to have to find a good place to hide from him and do your stuff. Such immersiveness is the future of the horror-shooter.
#1: Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots
Guns of the Patriots is the fourth game in the Metal Gear Solid series. The series’ gameplay has always been known for it’s stealth-action and dynamic storytelling, and 4 is no exception. In fact, it is being heralded as by far the best Metal Gear yet.
The story takes place in the far future where war and terrorism is rampant and largely unchallenged. The main character, Snake, is now old, but has been assigned one last mission: to kill the antagonist, Liquid Oscilot.
The game flawlessly balances together many kinds of game mechanics, allowing you to play the game almost however you want to. For example, stealth-action requirements for certain levels(for example, where you would usually not be able to let yourself be seen, etc) are not nearly as restricting. If you want to race through each, blasting apart your enemies as an alternative to stealth-action, you can. Not only that, but the game features solid online multiplayer.
A fitting end to the series, Metal Gear Solid 4 is currently the very best reason there is to have a PS3.
